Siliguri Housewife Dies Due to Medical Negligence of a Well Known Nursing Home

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 11th March, 2017: In a yet another alleged case of Medical Negligence came in front a housewife from Arabindapally of Siliguri died after giving birth to a baby. In a press conference by the family members of the housewife including her husband Mr. Debabrato Dutta informed the press that gross negligence has taken place in a nursing home located at Hakimpara of Siliguri. Wife of Mr. Debarata Dutta Smt. Pamela Dutta was admitted on 14 February at the Nursing Home for delivery.
On 15th February the operation has been carried out however, bleeding started after the operation. She was again operated. Later the family members came to know by the nursing home officials that her kidney is not functioning. She was immediately taken to a Private Hospital at Matigara but she did not survive on 9th March Smt. Pamela Dutta died at the Hospital. The family members then lodged a complaint in Siliguri Police Station. However, the police officials had taken a General Diary and told them that after medical investigation a FIR will be taken. On the other hand, the nursing home officials denied any sort of negligence on their part instead they are ready to face investigations.
